Etiquettes of Reciting Al-Waqiah

Reciting Waqiah is a blessed practice with immense spiritual benefits. However, to gain its full rewards, it’s important to follow the proper etiquette (adab) of recitation as taught in Islam.

1. Wear pure & Clean Clothes while reciting the Surah.
2. The Quran or para should be touched or recited in a state of neat & clean body with wudu and start with Bismillah.
3. Select a pure & clean place for reciting and avoid impure areas (Napaak-places).

Wudu is recommended but not obligatory if you are memorizing or listening to sura e waqiah (without touching the Quran). The purpose of reciting should be for seeking Allah’s pleasure, not for show, and for gaining the barakah (blessings) and protection from poverty.
