Importance of Surah Al-Waqiah in Islam
Surah+Waqiah is a powerful 56th chapter of the Quran with deep meaning and real-life benefits. Many scholars and Hadiths highlight its importance. It plays a big role in both our spiritual and daily lives due to its themes of the Day of Judgment, divine power, and sustenance (rizq).
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“Whoever recites Surah Waqiah every night will never suffer from poverty.” (Ref: Ibn Sunni, Bayhaqi, authenticated by scholars like Al-Albani).
Regular recitation is believed to bring Barakah (Blessings) in wealth. Its themes encourage ethical behavior and detachment from materialism. Many Muslims recite this surah for Barakah, relief from hardship, and as a form of zikr (remembrance of Allah).
